Retreat in Bangkok, Thailand

Bangkok, the capital of Thailand is a bustling metropolis. Home to many beautiful temples, rich culture, vibrate culinary scene, it's a city that doesn't sleep. It is also easy to get around by Skytrain, underground, tuk-tuk, taxi or a trundling ancient bus.

A visit to some of Bangkok's beautiful temples is a must as we were just mesmerized by the architecture and beauty of the temples. The fun continues with yummy-licious food. We definitely couldn't resist the temptation of savouring tom yam, mango sticky rice, Thai ice milk tea, Pad Thai, coconut ice cream wherever we see it. It was definitely our staple in Bangkok.Well, they say, when in Rome, do as the Romans do.

Our foodie adventure doesn't end there as we hop to the well known After You dessert cafe at Siam Paragon. After You is famous for their sweet treats from shibuya honey toasts, buttermilk pancake, chocolate lava, brownies, to cakes like mille crepe. We ordered giant chocolate lava and mille crepe and it tasted heavenly.

The highlight of our retreat is non other than, shopping! The variety of shopping experience in Bangkok is just exhilarating. There are sights to see, things to buy whether it is a stroll in the market or a visit to the mall. The list of shopping from Platinum fashion mall, Siam square, Asiatique the Riverfront to Chatuchak market, Chinatown market has marked Bangkok as a shopping paradise for sure. It is indeed a fantastic retreat in Bangkok.
